A place built to serve
A community-serving space became a working asset
Thanks to support from Entergy Arkansas, the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, and generous supporters like you, Americans for Action was able to finish equipping the community-serving space we launched in 2024.
That space became a trusted place for connection, service, and opportunity, where residents could access resources, local groups could gather, and regional partners could meet more directly with the community.
Investing in youth and opportunity
Young people gained hours, exposure, and real opportunity
With support from The Lee County Arkansas Community Foundation and projects by the Arkansas Human Development Corporation, we helped facilitate more than 200 hours of youth career training opportunities.
That work included soft skills development, reading and math tutoring, exposure to city and county meetings, and internship opportunities that let local students contribute to early app prototyping.
Testing practical community solutions
Local pilots helped meet real barriers with real response
Support from the King Foundation helped us pilot practical, community-rooted responses to barriers that affect daily life.
The King Foundation's support enabled us to provide more than 300 rides through a transportation pilot designed to connect residents to resources and opportunities that move people toward greater economic independence.
That same hands-on, community-rooted problem solving is helping take clearer shape as Delta Forward.
Building what comes next
Early vision became clearer, more tangible, and ready for its next expression
One of the year's most important milestones was finalizing the design of the app. That progress helped turn an early idea into something more concrete and more ready to serve the mission.
This work is now taking clearer shape as Union More Perfect (UMP), formerly known as the A4A App, a civic-tech initiative designed to help communities surface needs, strengthen accountability, and support better local action over time.

As this work grows, Americans for Action is beginning to transition into a more focused stewardship role — a board-led organization helping safeguard the mission and long-term integrity of Delta Forward and Union More Perfect (UMP).
